BSC Weekly Meeting: Allergy Therapeutic Development

Do you or someone you know have a severe food allergy?  Have you heard how food allergies amongst children are on the rise?  We will be discussing a new food allergy therapeutic developed right here at UCLA.   After the discussion, we will be forming a venture team for students to make an in depth analysis on the potential of this exciting new drug.We will also be going over the BSC structure and strategy for the 2012-2013 year.  Come share your insights on how the BSC can better serve the UCLA and med-biotech community.   Plus, there will be opportunities for those who want to become more involved with the BSC leadership.

Technology Discussion and Venture Team Formation–  We will be talking about an interesting technology that could have a HUGE impact.  We will discuss a new therapeutic for food allergies and allergy related asthma.  Come ready to ask the tough questions you would want to know if you were looking to invest in this technology or start a company around it.

III. BSC Structure and Strategy- For new people to the BSC and those who want to become more involved, we will be going over the structure of the BSC and also the BSC strategy for the upcoming year.  Come brainstorm with us how we can improve existing and new programs. There will also be opportunities to  volunteer for leadership positions within the organization.
