Paid Summer Consulting Project through the UCLA Business of Science Center

Overview:

The UCLA Business of Science Center (BSC) is recruiting graduate students or postdocs with a background in business, life science, medicine, public health, or public policy to create an Economic Impact Report for our clinical translational research collaborators in San Diego.   This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated graduate students who desire to gain experience in consulting, project management, and managing client relationships.

Scope:

A team of UCLA graduate students recruited and managed by the BSC will provide a thorough analysis addressing the economic impact a center similar to the UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute has had on the San Diego area.  The BSC team will utilize their relationships with Southern California Biomedical Council, UCLA CTSI, and UCLA faculty to assist the students in fully evaluating the economic impact of the center.

Compensation:

Each student will receive a competitive stipend for working on this project. They will also have a limited travel budget. The hours of work are flexible, but it is estimated that the students will work 15-20 hours per week on this project through the summer plus make revisions to their report during the month of October.
